About this opportunity
SUMMARY:
The Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Franchise Acquisition Services is issuing a market survey to identify sources capable of providing Basic Compliance Auditing Training for FAA Aerospace Engineers. The training course must be a minimum of 24 hours of instruction and accommodate up to 20 students per class. Interested vendors must provide a capability statement detailing their relevant experience, training approach, and geographic area where training will be provided. The FAA will use the responses to determine if adequate competition exists to set aside the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified firms.
There is currently no set-aside designation for this procurement. The FAA estimates the tuition cost should be quoted on a per-class basis, and the agency will be responsible for all student travel and per diem expenses. The principal NAICS code for this effort is 611512 - Flight Training, with a $30 million size standard. The FAA has not yet determined the nature of the competition, which may be full and open or set aside for eligible small businesses.
