About this opportunity

The Bureau of Land Management's California Region is conducting a sole-source procurement for co-location office space and 24/7 emergency dispatch services from the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office in support of BLM California Law Enforcement operations, with a response deadline of September 16, 2026.

BLM justifies the sole-source award under FAR 6.103-1(b) on the basis that only the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office can meet the specific coverage and location requirements for the Mariposa/Briceburg Recreation area, and the incumbent contractor possesses specialized knowledge and equipment necessary to maintain continuity of operations and radio interoperability with existing BLM casework and evidentionary processes. The requirement encompasses secured office space access for BLM law enforcement officers at MCSO facilities and year-round dispatching enabling lawful communications, officer safety checks, and related support aligned to BLM California operations.

BLM anticipates a firm fixed-price award with an annual fee of $12,000 for the space rental component; dispatch services will be performed in accordance with a Performance Work Statement. The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office currently provides these services under existing Purchase Order L15PX01649 and maintains 7 full-time emergency dispatchers with part-time support staff monitoring 36 radios.

Firms believing they can meet the Government's needs must submit written information providing clear and convincing evidence of capability. The acquisition is being conducted under Revolutionary FAR Overhaul commercial procedures. NAICS 922120 (Police Protection); PSC R499 (Professional Support: Other).
