The contractor will be evaluated monthly against acceptable quality levels, including maintaining a 98% mission capability rating and ensuring 100% timely reporting of unsafe conditions. Interested parties must submit responses by March 4, 2026, with all information submitted on a voluntary basis, and the government will not pay for information requested nor compensate respondents for costs incurred in developing responses.
This opportunity is set aside as a Total Small Business contract. The primary duty location is Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, with regular travel required to boat locker locations in Hawaii, Alameda California, Smyrna Georgia, and Mobile Alabama. The contract period spans one year base (May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027) plus four one-year option periods, and the government anticipates requiring one full-time employee working 40 hours per week (0730-1630 hours) at 1,920 annual hours to fulfill these support functions, though contractors may propose additional staffing if necessary. The contractor will provide maintenance and operations support for approximately 96 pieces of amphibious equipment, including Combat Rubber Reconnaissance Craft (CRRC), Enhanced CRRC, Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB), Open Water Safety Craft, Dive Boats, and various outboard engines such as Evinrude E-TEC and Mercury Verado. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and certifications while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and no separate reimbursement will be provided for travel between work sites as it is considered inherent to the position.
