About this opportunity

The North Texas Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking mammography reporting software to enhance breast cancer screening and diagnostic accuracy through advanced medical imaging capabilities. This procurement requires software that can integrate with Electronic Health Record systems, PACS, and Radiology Information Systems while providing features such as image enhancement, annotation, comparison with prior studies, and structured reporting. The software must comply with regulatory standards including ACR, MQSA, and FDA regulations, and support an estimated 2,500-3,000 mammograms annually. Evaluation will be based on technical capability, past performance, and price using a comparative assessment process, with the government reserving the right to select the quote providing the best overall benefit rather than necessarily the lowest price. Electronic responses must be submitted by 10:00 AM on August 25, 2025, to astrid.mckinney@va.gov and must include technical specifications, past performance references with at least two similar contract references, and detailed pricing.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 541511 with a $34 million small business size standard. The contract performance period spans one year from September 15, 2025, to September 14, 2026, and includes comprehensive support services such as annual training, WebEx sessions, system health checks, technical support, and patch management. The place of performance is located at 4500 S. Lancaster Road in Dallas, Texas 75216. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management and demonstrate compatibility with the NTX VAMC PACS system. The contract aims to streamline radiological workflows, reduce human error, and improve patient care outcomes through advanced mammogram interpretation tools deployed within the North Texas Veterans Health network.
