About this opportunity

The U.S. Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing annual preventative maintenance and repair services for an Oxford Instruments Aztec micsF+/x-stream2/*x MaxN 50/Unity/C-Nano system, with responses due by August 21, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time. This is a Total Small Business set-aside; SBA-certified small businesses, HUBZone firms, 8(a) program participants, service-disabled veteran-owned firms, and small businesses are invited to respond.

The system is located at the Denver Federal Center in Denver, Colorado. The current service contract expires July 20, 2026. Technical requirements include priority telephone support with one-business-day response time, genuine spare parts, software updates, and one annual preventative maintenance and calibration visit in the last three months of the performance period. Oxford Instruments-approved staff must diagnose problems and restore the system to factory specifications. If the detector fails, the vendor must ship a replacement or repair the faulty unit within four weeks and provide on-site installation; if repairs exceed four weeks, a loaner detector is required. Equipment must operate without lapses exceeding five consecutive working days, with no more than three lapses per contracted year. The vendor is responsible for all shipping costs.

Interested firms must submit responses via email to jennifer_rollin@ios.doi.gov with "140G0226Q0 - Oxford" in the subject line, providing name, address, phone number, UEI number, and current SAM registration. NAICS 811210 applies; size standard is $34.0 million.
