About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations intends to award a maintenance agreement for Sony equipment to Sony Biotechnologies Inc. without competitive procedures under FAR Part 13, with responses due August 12, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern time. This is a non-competitive, sole-source procurement.
Place of performance is on-site at NIH facilities. The contractor shall perform three planned preventive maintenance visits during the contract period, with service consisting of thorough cleaning, calibration, adjustment, inspection, and testing of all equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications. All equipment must be operationally tested through at least one complete operating cycle at the end of each maintenance inspection to ensure optimal and efficient performance. Service shall be performed by factory-trained personnel.
The contractor must provide on-site emergency repair services at no additional cost to the government during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays), with a one-hour initial response time and four-hour on-site response requirement from qualified factory-trained service representatives. All labor and travel costs are included. Emergency service calls do not replace the necessity for planned preventive maintenance.
The contract value is not expected to exceed $350,000, the simplified acquisition threshold. The procurement falls under NAICS 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with PSC 6640 (Laboratory Equipment and Supplies).
Interested offerors must submit technical and cost-price proposals, period of performance, UEI, TIN, and business size certification to Mr. Vishnuvajjala Hanumanth Rao at vishnuh@mail.nih.gov. All offerors must maintain active SAM registration.
