About this opportunity
This notice provides that the Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source delivery order to Raytheon Company for upgrades to Block IV Tomahawk test equipment to address obsolescence and compatibility with the Military Code. Raytheon is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Tomahawk missile system, making it the only responsible source able to satisfy the agency's requirement. Interested parties may submit capability statements for consideration, but no formal solicitation will be issued as this is not a competitive procurement. The agency will make a sole source award at its discretion. Responses are due to the agency contact by February 8, 2024.
No set-aside designation will be used for this opportunity. Raytheon is identified as the incumbent and potential sole awardee given its unique experience and capabilities as the original manufacturer of the Tomahawk system. As a sole source non-competitive award, specific budget or value ranges are not provided. The notice seeks upgrades to existing test equipment for an established weapons system, but does not include details on quantities or timelines for the scope of work.
