About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is conducting market research to identify small business concerns capable of installing a replacement generator into a Large Test Vehicle at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, with responses due by June 19, 2026.
The work comprises custom fabrication and installation of a government-furnished generator (Model S10020T4) into the 746th Test Squadron's LTV. The contractor must design and fabricate a heavy-duty slide-out shelf rated to support 1,462 pounds in both closed and fully extended positions with locking mechanisms, fabricate and install a weather-resistant locking door meeting IP66 protection standards, modify and expand the existing vehicle cutout to accommodate a generator measuring 28.77" H × 24.50" W × 58.18" L (the existing cubby is 31" W × 31.5" H × 54.5" L), and integrate the generator per OEM specifications with properly routed and secured wiring and fuel and exhaust lines maintaining a minimum 6-inch clearance from heat sources. Performance occurs in two phases: off-site fabrication within 45 days of order receipt, followed by on-site installation and delivery within 30 days of vehicle receipt at 1644 Vandergrift Road, Holloman AFB, NM 88330. Upon delivery, the generator must start and run for a minimum of 60 minutes under 75% simulated maximum load. The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty on all workmanship and contractor-supplied components, operational and maintenance manuals, and return all unused parts and the old generator to the squadron.
NAICS 811121 applies with a $9.0 million size standard. The estimated value is $58,759.25. The Government anticipates Firm-Fixed-Price award under FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR Part 13. Respondents must submit a capability statement including company details, SAM.gov registration confirmation, business size certification, relevant experience description, and confirmation of prime-contractor interest.
