About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking potential manufacturers for a set of National Stock Numbers (NSNs) related to aircraft parts and accessories. The pre-solicitation notice, identified as SPE4A125R0001, is a sources sought notice designed to identify qualified manufacturers for nine specific NSN items. Companies interested in being considered as an "Approved Source" must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) package demonstrating their ability to manufacture products equal to or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The submission deadline is February 13, 2025, at 3:00 pm EST, with all responses required to be emailed to jennifer.blamy@dla.mil. Respondents must provide detailed information about their manufacturing capabilities, including location and point of contact.
Currently, Boeing is the only approved source for these items, with five specific CAGE codes (8V613, 77272, 81205, 28980, and 76301) associated with their manufacturing. The pre-solicitation specifically covers ten NSN items in the aircraft parts and auxiliary equipment manufacturing category, classified under NAICS code 336413. The government emphasizes that this is an informational request only, not a formal solicitation, and no funds are available for response preparation. Interested manufacturers must independently demonstrate their technical competence and quality standards through the SAR program, with the submission package to be sent to DLA Aviation's SAR Program Manager in Richmond, VA. The notice clearly states that the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.
