About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command is refreshing its market research through a small-business-only sources sought notice for the LPD 17 Class Ship Control System (SCS) design, development, production, and support for LPD In-Service Modernization and LPD Shipbuilding, with responses due by June 2, 2026 at 1600 Eastern Time. Only firms classified as Small Businesses under NAICS 334511 (PSC 2090) may respond; large businesses are excluded. This notice follows a previous broader RFI (N0002424R4203) and is explicitly a market research tool, not a solicitation—no contract will be awarded from this announcement.

Respondents must submit a required capability statement plus company information including name, address, primary contacts, website, CAGE code, business size verification, socioeconomic status, estimated delivery lead times, equipment origin, and warranty terms. Firms may provide either current supply meeting or exceeding the attached LPD 17 Class SCS specification details or evidence of capability to develop such supply, including personnel, facilities, resources, technology, and expertise.

Amendment 0001, issued after the original May 28 deadline, extended the response due date to June 2, 2026 and clarified that a capability statement is required in addition to the numbered submission items. Vendors who submitted before the extension may submit revised or supplemental responses addressing the clarified requirements by the new deadline.
