About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command, specifically the Naval Warfare Center Corona Division, is seeking capability statements from potential contractors to build and supply Low Pressure Gage Calibrators (PGC) for Navy calibration laboratories. The procurement aims to modernize obsolete pressure calibration equipment and requires contractors to demonstrate the ability to produce portable pneumatic pressure calibration systems capable of operating in absolute, gauge, and vacuum modes with high precision (0.1% accuracy). Key technical requirements include smart transducer technology, IEEE 802.3 ethernet interface, contamination prevention systems, maximum weight of 45 pounds, dimensions not exceeding 10x18x20 inches, 120V single-phase operation, and NIST-traceable calibration with a 12-month calibration interval. Contractors must provide capability statements that include company information, business size classification under NAICS Code 334519, estimated unit pricing and lead times for market research purposes, industry commentary on the Statement of Work and Calibration Standards Specification, and clear identification of any product modifications needed to meet specifications. The deadline for submitting capability statements is January 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM PST, with responses directed to procurement specialist Andrew Davis at andrew.m.davis106.civ@us.navy.mil, referencing Sources Sought Notice N6426726R1005 in the subject line.

This is a pre-solicitation notice with no set-aside designation applicable to small businesses or other socio-economic categories. The procurement will be structured as a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum order of one unit and a maximum of 150 calibration units, though no specific award value or budget range has been disclosed at this pre-solicitation stage. The government emphasizes that this notice is for informational and market research purposes only and does not constitute a binding solicitation or commitment to award a contract. No funds are available to compensate respondents for preparing capability statements, and all submitted information is strictly voluntary. The specification documents were updated on December 23, 2025, to correct technical references, and interested contractors should ensure they are responding to the most current version of the requirements.
