About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps awarded a sole-source, 5-year IDIQ contract valued at $550,640 to Oshkosh Defense LLC on September 1, 2026, for maintenance training on the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) Cargo variant.

Marine Corps Installations East—Regional Contracting Office awarded the contract under FAR 5.301(a) justification. The award was made without set-aside. The contractor will deliver multiple 9-day LVSR Cargo Maintenance courses at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, with each course accommodating up to twelve government personnel. Instruction covers component identification, theory of operation, inspection, testing, and fault diagnosis per OEM technical manuals, blending classroom theory with hands-on practical application. The period of performance runs five years as a single 60-month ordering period. The sole-source justification rests on Oshkosh Defense's proprietary design elements, intellectual property restrictions, and exclusive knowledge of the LVSR's complex hydraulic, electrical, suspension, and fuel systems, identifying the OEM as uniquely qualified.
