About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick issued a sole-source justification notice for a logical follow-on task order to CALIBRE Systems Inc. to continue providing comprehensive Transition Assistance Program (TAP) services to transitioning service members, veterans, and their families. The services include VA Benefits and Services Briefings, one-on-one benefits engagement, pre-separation counseling, Military Life Cycle courses, capstone evaluation, warm handovers to partnered agencies, TAP training, and TAP data analysis, supporting over 200,000 service members annually across more than 300 military installations worldwide. The justification for the sole-source award under the logical follow-on exception cites CALIBRE's five years of exceptional performance under the current task order (GS02Q16DCR0040), the contractor's critical familiarity with VA and Military to Civilian Readiness (M2CR) policies, and possession of essential SOFA clearances required for international operations. The follow-on task order runs from May 18, 2026 to November 17, 2026, with one six-month option period and four three-month option periods, with an estimated total value of $86,664,566.25 including all options. This logical follow-on maintains service continuity while the VA conducts a recompete on the OASIS+ contract vehicle, with anticipated award in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027.
