About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks quotations for one Very High Frequency Lock-In (VHFLI) Amplifier and one Multi-Demodulator unit, with quotations due August 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time and questions due August 17, 2026. This is an unrestricted, firm fixed-price acquisition under FAR Part 12 (commercial products and services).
Place of performance and acceptance is NIST-Boulder, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. The VHFLI Amplifier must provide DC to 50 MHz demodulation bandwidth, two independent analog input channels, one dual-phase demodulator per channel, integrated signal generators, high dynamic reserve for low-level signal detection, real-time DSP with continuous data streaming, integrated PID controllers, and software with Ethernet and USB interfaces. The Multi-Demodulator unit extends demodulators and internal oscillators from 2 to 8, supports simultaneous multi-frequency lock-in measurements, enables parallel phase-sensitive detection at multiple harmonics, and integrates with LabOne software while maintaining full compatibility with the VHFLI platform. The system must support advanced electro-optic sampling, frequency-comb stabilization, multi-tone measurements, and waveform metrology applications. Delivery is required within 60 days ARO. Vendors must possess an active Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and an active Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI) on SAM.gov at time of award. No prototypes, demonstration models, used, or refurbished instruments will be considered. Warranty includes 12 months base manufacturer warranty covering parts. On-site inspection and acceptance at NIST-Boulder are required, not to exceed 7 business days. Award will be made to the responsible quoter offering the lowest priced, technically acceptable quotation. NAICS code is 334515, small business size standard 750 employees. Electronic quotations must be submitted to Contracting Officer Lia Arthofer at lia.arthofer@nist.gov in three volumes: Technical Quotation, Price Quotation (including shipping and delivery costs), and Terms and Conditions acceptance.
