About this file

This is a Requirements/Specification Document from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for a Lock-In Electronics system requested by the Communications Technology Laboratory, Radio Frequency Technology Division (RFTD HQ Group 672.00).

The procurement involves two primary items: (1) one Very High Frequency Lock-in (VHFLI) Amplifier with specifications including DC to 50 MHz demodulation bandwidth, two independent analog input channels, one dual-phase demodulator per channel, one integrated signal generator per channel, high dynamic reserve for low-level signal detection, real-time DSP with continuous data streaming, integrated PID controllers for closed-loop feedback, and software with Ethernet and USB interfaces; and (2) one Multi-Demodulator unit that extends demodulators and internal oscillators from 2 to 8, supports simultaneous multi-frequency lock-in measurements, enables parallel phase-sensitive detection at multiple harmonics, provides independent configuration of each demodulator, supports concurrent amplitude, phase, in-phase (X), and quadrature (Y) measurements, allows synchronized operation of multiple demodulators and oscillators, integrates with real-time data acquisition and LabOne software, and maintains full compatibility with the VHFLI platform. The system must support advanced electro-optic sampling, frequency-comb stabilization, multi-tone measurements, and waveform metrology applications.

Vendor requirements include possessing an Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and a Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI) listed as "Active" on SAM.gov at time of award. Delivery shall be completed within 60 days ARO to NIST-Boulder (325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305). Electronic manuals must be provided. On-site inspection and acceptance are required, not to exceed 7 business days. Warranty includes 12 months base manufacturer warranty covering parts. TPOC serves as the coordination point of contact.
