About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks competitive proposals for repairs to the guidewall crib structures supporting Locks and Dams 3 and 7 located in Welch, Minnesota and La Crescent, Minnesota, respectively. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, intends to award one or two firm-fixed price contracts for work including installing formwork, a floating silt curtain, and low-density cellular concrete to fill voids in the timber pile and rock-filled crib foundations. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management and provide current FAR and DFARS representations and certifications. The solicitation will provide specifications, drawings, instructions for bid submission, and for submitting and viewing bid inquiries.
This procurement has been set aside 100% for small businesses and falls under NAICS code 237990 for other heavy and civil engineering construction with a size standard of $45,000,000. The estimated value for repairs at each lock and dam site is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000, requiring 100% performance and payment bonds and bid bonds. Work will involve repairs at two separate sites with an expectation of multiple awards, or the option to submit pricing for both sites with a restriction to one award.
