About this opportunity
The U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, specifically the 94th Contracting Flight at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Georgia, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for Local Telecommunications Services (LTS). The procurement seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure, including 10,000 direct-inward-dialing numbers, 21 commercial subscriber lines, 7 ISDN PRI circuits, and 3 data point-to-point circuits. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and must perform a minimum of 50% of work with their own employees to be considered. Interested parties are required to submit a 10-page capability statement including business details, CAGE code, DUNS number, and socio-economic status by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on October 23, 2024. The evaluation will focus on firms' skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities to support the installation's telecommunications needs on a 24/7/365 basis.
The contract opportunity falls under NAICS code 517111 with a small business standard of 1,500 employees and does not have a specific set-aside designation. The contract will have a base period of 11 months with four potential 12-month option years, providing continuous telecommunications services with a 99.9% availability requirement. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive service requirements suggest a significant contract scope. The government will provide rack space, environmental controls, and power for the contractor's equipment. Potential bidders are encouraged to offer innovative technical solutions compatible with current infrastructure requirements. The solicitation indicates that if a formal solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the SAM.gov website, and interested parties will need to respond to that separate announcement.
