About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command has awarded a contract modification to Teledyne Brown Engineering on a sole-source basis for maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade support of the Littoral Battlespace Sensing—Glider (LBS-G) system. The modification increases the contract ceiling by $3.1 million, raising the total estimated contract value from $6.8 million to $9.9 million under contract N0003921D1003.

The sole-source justification cites 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), with the determination that TBE is the only responsible source capable of performing these services. An initial synopsis on the Government-wide Point of Entry closed on 28 May 2020 with no responses received. The LBS-G system is a small, long-endurance, semi-autonomous buoyancy-driven vehicle that samples and characterizes ocean water properties. Place of performance is Huntsville, Alabama (300 Sparkman Drive NW). The contract period of performance ends on 24 February 2027. FY27 funding of $3.1 million comprises $2.76 million in Operations and $340,000 in Operations & Maintenance Navy.
