About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Installation and Mission Support Center Installation Contracting Agency is seeking a comprehensive renovation project for a 76,722 square foot secure controlled space on the 2nd floor of a facility. The project requires a design and renovation approach that includes selective demolition, interior wall repairs, raised flooring, ceiling systems, lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, doors, finishes, fire alarm upgrades, communication networks, and furniture and equipment installations. Contractors must comply with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) / Intelligence Community Specification (ICS) 705 standards and UFC 1-200-02 High Performance and Sustainable Building (HPSB) requirements. The project will require third-party certification of HPSB compliance, with documentation required in each design submission. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on June 4, 2025, with responses due by July 7, 2025, targeting commercial and institutional building construction under NAICS code 236220.
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside, indicating that only small businesses are eligible to compete for this opportunity. The renovation will transform the space into a secure environment with predominately open workstations, secure network server rooms, and a central non-secure core for common areas and circulation. While specific award values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the extensive scope of work suggests a significant project investment. The project involves complex cyber security measures and specialized renovation requirements, which may necessitate contractors with specific security clearances and experience in high-security government facility modifications. The detailed technical specifications and compliance requirements indicate a sophisticated project that will demand advanced engineering, construction, and security implementation skills from potential bidders.
