About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force is seeking sources for a laser engraver system through this Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice. The procurement requires an Epilog Fusion Pro 24 Laser Engraver or equivalent that includes comprehensive training, an Air Assist Pump 110V, Rim Style Rotary, Vector Cutting Grid Kit, and a Pro 24 Compact X Self Contained Filter System under a firm fixed price contract. The laser engraver must operate on standard 110-120V AC power supply with 15 amp power input and maximum 120 volt support, as 220V AC units are incompatible with the government facility. Key technical specifications include a minimum working area of 24 inches by 24 inches, overall dimensions not exceeding 42 inches width by 33 inches depth by 41 inches height, and a combination laser system with minimum 60-watt CO2 laser and minimum 30-watt fiber laser. The equipment will support retail and craft activity operations, with responses due by September 12, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business contractors. No current incumbents or existing contractors are identified in the notice. The solicitation does not specify award values, budget ranges, or quantities, as this is an information-gathering phase to identify capable sources. The brief response timeframe of only three days from posting to due date suggests this is an urgent requirement for the Air Force facility. The technical specifications indicate a single unit procurement focused on dual-laser capability for versatile engraving and cutting applications. The NAICS code 333517 for Machine Tool Manufacturing and PSC code 3419 for Miscellaneous Machine Tools further classify this as specialized manufacturing equipment procurement.
