About this opportunity
The 60th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, California, through the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, is seeking sources for comprehensive maintenance services, extended warranty coverage, and loaner services for one Laerdal SimMan 3G medical simulator. This pre-solicitation notice (sources sought/RFI) aims to identify qualified contractors capable of providing preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, parts replacement, technical support, and related services for the high-fidelity adult simulator. Contractors must be OEM-authorized by Laerdal and employ only OEM-trained personnel to perform all services while maintaining compliance with FDA standards, NFPA 99, and OEM specifications. The government requests respondents to submit business information, documentation of small business status if applicable, CAGE codes, and capability packages demonstrating ability to meet all requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement. Questions regarding the announcement must be submitted by February 27, 2026, to the designated government contacts, and responses to this RFI are not binding on the government, which reserves the right to proceed with a future RFQ if issued.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and involves no identified incumbent contractor in the pre-solicitation materials. The contract period extends from August 8, 2026, through August 7, 2027, with four optional one-year renewal periods available through August 7, 2031, providing potential coverage of up to five years. Key service requirements include one annual preventive maintenance inspection, one-year extended warranty with return-to-bench service and ground shipping at no additional cost, one-year loaner simulator services with ground shipping included, 24/7 technical support with Monday-Friday clinical applications support, and one-time on-site installation by a Laerdal-certified field service engineer. The PWS specifies services during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding eleven federal holidays, with service reports required within five business days of completion. No specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials, and the government emphasizes that responding to this RFI does not guarantee participation in any subsequent solicitation.
