About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA/GRC) has published a Special Notice for the development of LabRAM5 metal powder coating. This Special Notice seeks information from interested organizations regarding their capabilities and qualifications to potentially compete for a sole source contract.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to determine the feasibility of coating metal powder feedstock with nanoscale Y2O3 powder using the LabRAM5 mixer. The scope of work includes conducting experiments to optimize the mixing energy and time, as well as analyzing the acceptable mixing container dimensions and fill. Interested organizations have until May 10, 2024, to submit their capabilities and qualifications to the identified point of contact. NASA will make a determination on whether to compete the effort based on the responses received. This requirement is set aside for small businesses under the NAICS code 541715.
