About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), is conducting a Request for Information on a Lab Glassware Washer System with responses due July 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST. This is market research only; no procurement commitment is represented and no formal solicitation timeline is announced.

OSHA seeks information on replacement equipment for its Technical Center to replace a 25-year-old failing unit. The system must function as a full-sized freestanding appliance with glass hinged door, 3 wash levels, and programmable touch control. Capacity specifications include 192 narrow-neck glassware per cycle, 108 laboratory flasks per cycle, 98 pipettes per cycle, and 60 lb maximum load per cycle, with useable wash cabinet volume of 8.51 liters. The unit must operate on 3 AC 208V 60 HZ electrical connection and include integrated water softener. External dimensions are 83 1/8" H x 37 1/4" W x 33 1/8" D. The equipment must meet all Buy American Act requirements.

The SOW references the Miele, INC PLW 7111 3AC 208V Labwasher S 1044 as a performance benchmark. Respondents should provide estimated rough-order-of-magnitude pricing for analysis purposes. The anticipated performance period spans delivery, installation, training, acceptance, and a one-year manufacturer warranty, with delivery and installation to occur within 60 calendar days after contract award.

Responses should not exceed 10 pages (excluding cover letter and questionnaire), submitted in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using Times New Roman 11- or 12-point font with 1-inch margins. All qualified small businesses, including 8(a) firms, are encouraged to respond. Prospective offerors must be registered in SAM and should submit materials to Maria Britton (britton.maria.m@dol.gov) and Debbie Worrells (worrells.deborah@dol.gov). NAICS 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) applies; respondents may propose alternative codes.
