About this opportunity

The U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking airtime services and maintenance plans for KVH V3 HTS antennas to support U.S. Navy missions with South American Partner Nations. The procurement is specifically for satellite communication equipment to be used in CENTRIXS Fly Away Kits during UNITAS and PANAMAX joint military exercises. The contract requires contractors to provide satellite airtime plans, technical support, and maintenance services with a critical 72-hour turnaround time for repairs, either at the COMUSNAVSO campus in Jacksonville, Florida or at the contractor's facility. Quotes are due by January 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, with questions to be submitted by January 6, 2025. The evaluation criteria will be based on total price for all contract periods, and the solicitation is unrestricted with a NAICS code of 517410 and a size standard of $44,000,000.

The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and is open to all qualified vendors. KVH Industries, Inc. is noted as the exclusive manufacturer of the specific satellite equipment required, which operates on their proprietary Broadband VSAT HTS Network. The contract includes a 12-month base period from February 23, 2025 to February 22, 2026, with two additional 12-month option periods that could extend the contract through February 22, 2028. The performance location is Jacksonville, Florida, specifically zip code 32223. The contractor will need to provide two different satellite airtime plans: M1GB-P for 10 months and M2GB-P for 2 months per year, indicating a nuanced service requirement that goes beyond standard communication contracts.
