About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command, through the 906th Contracting Battalion located in Daegu, Republic of Korea, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Notice for field support equipment rental services at the BLS Rodriguez Live Fire Complex. The procurement seeks to identify and assess the capabilities of Republic of Korea-based vendors to deliver, install, and maintain field support equipment for a designated period. Participation is restricted to vendors located and operating within the Republic of Korea; however, all sources, including U.S. vendors, must obtain requisite business licenses directly from the ROK Government and comply with all applicable ROK laws regarding labor, taxation, and immigration. A critical qualification requirement is that vendors must demonstrate they either already conduct business in Korea as a local source or provide adequate verification of authorization and capacity to operate as a local source in their initial response. The RFI was issued on March 6, 2026, with responses due by March 10, 2026. The Contracting Officer will determine whether an offeror qualifies as a local source, and any initial response that fails to demonstrate requisite authorization and capacity will not receive further consideration for award.
This pre-solicitation notice employs no set-aside designation. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or specific award values. The procurement falls under NAICS category 561210 (Facilities Support Services) and PSC category Z1AZ (Maintenance of Other Administrative Facilities and Service Buildings). The scope of requirements includes delivery, full installation, and ongoing maintenance of field support equipment, though the specific equipment types and quantities are not detailed in the available portion of the notice. The contract timeline and performance period are not explicitly stated in the provided documentation. Interested vendors should note that the ROK-U.S. Status of Forces Agreement precludes the U.S. Government from granting Invited Contractor or Technical Representative status to any offeror for this requirement.
