About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting technical support services for repairing switchboard issues on the USCGC Kennebec (WLIC-75), a vessel experiencing power generation and parallel generator problems. The contract will be awarded on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis, with contractors required to provide a detailed technical breakdown of proposed repairs and solutions. Specific objectives include troubleshooting the switchboard, generating a Condition Found Report (CFR), and making necessary repairs to return the vessel to a safe, functional condition. Contractors must provide qualified personnel capable of conducting comprehensive electrical system diagnostics and repairs in accordance with Coast Guard technical specifications. The solicitation requires a thorough technical response, with bidders explicitly warned that "as per spec is not a technical breakdown."

The contract has a strict performance period of 14 calendar days from the award date, with work primarily conducted between 0730 and 1600 EST, Monday through Friday. Contractors will be expected to provide all necessary materials, tools, and labor, with potential access to a Woodward speed setting control provided by the government. The place of performance is 4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23703, and contractors must be prepared to potentially work outside normal business hours to meet operational requirements.
