About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District is seeking a small business contractor to perform tree removal services along the Fox River at Kaukauna Parcel J in Wisconsin. The solicitation (W912P625Q0009) requires removing an approximately 800-foot line of trees prior to soil excavation, with trees to be cut to three inches above ground level. Contractor qualifications include being in business for at least 5 years and demonstrating capability to complete the work by March 15, 2025, during regular working hours (8am-5pm, excluding weekends and federal holidays). Proposals must be submitted via email to adam.j.haley@usace.army.mil by March 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM CST. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the contractor must adhere to project specifications including limited soil disturbance, temporary fencing installation, and proper debris disposal.

The contract is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 561730 with a size standard of $9.5 million. The place of performance is located in Kaukauna, Wisconsin 54130. Project requirements include cutting trees, ensuring minimal environmental disruption, and providing truck washdown/sweeper services. Contractors must handle debris removal, with an option for local residents to retain wood from the removed trees. The scope of work is relatively compact, focusing on a specific 800-foot tree removal area prior to subsequent soil excavation activities. No additional landscaping, seeding, or grading is required as part of this contract. The precise contract value is not specified in the solicitation, but the work is expected to be completed within a short timeframe ending no later than March 15, 2025.
