About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Chicago is seeking contractors for the Kaukauna Right Abutment Repairs project, which involves demolishing an existing un-grouted stacked stone wall along the upstream right (south) dam approach and constructing a new reinforced cast-in-place concrete wall in its place. The new concrete wall will be approximately 220 feet long and must be constructed to match the surveyed existing wall alignment and elevations, with the existing stone wall connecting to an existing concrete capped stone wall at the southeast end that ties into the right abutment of the Kaukauna Dam. The project falls under NAICS code 237990 for Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and PSC category Y1PZ for Construction of Other Non-Building Facilities. The solicitation was posted on August 21, 2025, with proposals due by September 24, 2025. The evaluation criteria and specific qualification requirements are not detailed in the provided information.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business concerns. The work will be performed along the Lower Fox River directly upstream of the Kaukauna Dam, where the existing wall forms the south edge of the main channel. No incumbent contractors, potential award values, or specific budget ranges are identified in the solicitation notice. The timeline for construction services is not specified, though the project scope indicates a focused construction effort involving demolition and concrete wall construction activities. No information regarding potential contract duration or performance milestones is provided in the available details.
