About this opportunity

The Forest Service has issued a Special Notice for the Kalamazoo Campground Reconstruction project on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. The objective of this notice is to provide vendors an opportunity to visit the project site prior to the issuance of the full solicitation, which is anticipated when the site becomes unavailable due to seasonal closures or inclement weather.

The purpose of the site visit is to allow interested vendors to assess the project site and gain a full understanding of the work required, which includes removing and disposing of existing site furnishings, obliterating and reconstructing roads and paths, constructing new aggregate pathways and campground features, and installing new site elements. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Vendors interested in attending the site visit on November 5, 2024 at 9 AM PST must inform the Project Engineer, Kevin Wilmot, by email the day prior. The government does not intend to award a contract based solely on this site visit or pay for any costs incurred in responding to this announcement, as this is a draft project subject to change when the final solicitation is issued.
