About this file

This document is a Special Notice for the Kalamazoo Campground Reconstruction project on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The Forest Service is providing an opportunity for vendors to visit the project site prior to the issuance of the full solicitation, which is anticipated when the site is unavailable due to seasonal closures or inclement weather. The work includes removing and disposing of existing site furnishings, obliterating and reconstructing roads and paths, constructing new aggregate pathways and campground features, and installing new site elements such as cattle guards, fencing, signs, and site furniture. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend the site visit on November 5, 2024, at 9 AM (PST) and to inform the Project Engineer, Kevin Wilmot, of their plans to attend by the day prior. This is not a request for proposal, quote, or bid, and the government does not intend to award a contract based solely on the site visit.
