About this opportunity
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest issued a sole-source task order to Teehee Engineering, Inc. for emergency construction services related to Building 152, which experienced structural damage from an earthquake on April 14, 2025. The contract, awarded under Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) N62473-20-D-1010, was justified as urgent, with the potential for unacceptable delays if a competitive bidding process were undertaken. The 90-day Period of Performance includes emergency stabilization services such as shorting existing trusses, removing and reinstalling systems furniture, conducting structural assessments, and addressing potential building damage. Teehee Engineering was selected due to their current onsite presence in the San Diego Metro area and familiarity with government procedures, with the primary goal of preventing further building damage and ensuring personnel safety.
