The NAVSUP FLC Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to procure support from the Sea Service Leadership Association (SSLA) to co-host the Joint Women's Leadership Symposium (JWLS) in Washington DC on 10 July 2022 through 12 July 2022. The SSLA is a uniquely situated organization focusing on mentorship and professional development of female service members in seafaring services.  Their service directly support CNO initiatives to improve female retention, and provides a unique opportunity for dialogue and direct Fleet feedback. This allows for female attendees the opportunity to establish strong relationships, gain valuable training, and meet mentors who will help guide their future careers in the Navy. The JWLS supports the CNO’s Diversity Vision by helping Sailors to develop their talents to their fullest potential, and feedback received from the symposium has been instrumental in providing positive proactive policy changes within the Navy.  It is critical that the Navy draw upon the widest possible set of talents and backgrounds to maximize its warfighting capability. If not through the SSLA, the Navy cannot otherwise provide this opportunity to its service members. The period of performance is 10 July 2022 through 12 July 2022.
