About this opportunity

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound sought various joiner doors via sole-source solicitation to OEM Trident Maritime Systems, with the most recent proposal deadline of July 22, 2026. Amendment 0003, issued July 22, 2026, cancelled the solicitation in its entirety.

The procurement was justified under RFO 12.102 as a sole-source requirement on the basis that Trident Maritime Systems is the only responsible source able to provide direct replacements in terms of form, fit, and function with existing equipment and configurations compliant with ABS and SOLAS maritime regulations. The original solicitation notice invited interested companies to identify their capability to respond; the Government reserved discretion to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received.

Place of performance is San Diego, California. The requirement comprised 15 line items for single and double joiner doors with varying fire ratings, materials (steel and stainless steel), and component configurations including door locks, closers, cushions, and windows. Delivery was required by July 15, 2026 to Military Sealift Command BATS in San Diego. The solicitation was conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial products and services, with firm fixed-price pricing and single award anticipated for all items due to their interrelationship. The NAICS code is 332321, Metal Window and Door Manufacturing; PSC code is 2090, Miscellaneous Ship and Marine Equipment.

The Government evaluated price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination. Amendment 0001 (April 30, 2026) added FAR Clause 52.222-90 addressing discrimination by federal contractors. Prior amendments extended the response deadline from April 23 to May 4 and subsequently to May 20 before the final extension to July 22 and ultimate cancellation.
