Key qualifications include authorization as a Harris Corporation service center, possession of a Secret security clearance, and completion of extensive training in anti-terrorism, operational security (OPSEC), and information assurance. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis with evaluation criteria focused on the contractor's ability to maintain operational readiness of all LMR-EV equipment. The due date for responses to this source sought notice is January 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with submissions to be emailed to Rosalie Horton and Rickey G. Hampton.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, encouraging responses from all small business categories including 8(a) firms, HUBZone businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSB). The contract covers a base year with four option years, running from March 28, 2026, to March 27, 2031, and requires the contractor to service over 400 handheld radios, 50 mobile radios, 3 desktop radios, 50 vehicles with emergency equipment, 3 ATVs, 4 T3s, one panel truck, and one mobile command vehicle. The anticipated NAICS code is 811213 (Communication Equipment Repair) with a size standard of $19.5 million. While no specific budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials, the scope and complexity of maintaining diverse radio and vehicle equipment across a five-year contract period suggests a significant procurement value. This notice constitutes market research for planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment to procurement.
