About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Bragg issued a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice on January 8, 2026, for a task order modification with Logmet LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, to provide maintenance support services for the 82nd Airborne Division Sustainment Troop Battalion. The justification for this sole source action is based on an urgent and compelling need under FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(A), as the pending deployment of A Company Support Maintenance Company (A Co. SMC) to the southern border will reduce maintenance support capabilities by 70 percent, necessitating immediate contractor support to sustain operational readiness. The contract modification, awarded on December 9, 2025, will add 74 full-time equivalent (FTE) contractor positions for a 12-month period from December 15, 2025, through December 14, 2026, with a value of $5.7 million. This maintenance support will serve 193 customer units, including 33 within the 82nd Airborne Division and 160 within XVIII Corps, ensuring critical fleet maintenance and repair operations continue uninterrupted while service members are deployed. The underlying contract was previously competed on GSA eBuy, and the FTE staffing levels are expected to return to original levels once the deployed service members return from their deployment.

The A. Co Support Maintenance Company (SMC), 82nd ADSB has been given short notice for a pending deployment in support of Joint Task Force –
Southern Border.
