Contract Title Annual preventative maintenance services for a Liquid Chromatography (LC) system

Background The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) requires preventative maintenance on an Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system for its research and development (R&D) service. The LC system is a fully automated way to separate, identify and quantify the different components of a liquid mixture, or to purify one. The VAMHCS R&D service purchased the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system in 2020, a new system would cost approximately $50,000. Therefore, it makes it more cost effective to maintain the one the lab already owns.

Work and Scope The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system requires yearly maintenance to ensure continuing efficiency and accuracy. An LC system running within specific parameters is necessary to monitor the experimental therapies that treat neurodegenerative diseases in laboratory mice.

Specific Tasks The primary task to be accomplished is to maintain the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system within normal operating parameters and safety standards.
