The notice pertains to the replacement of 12HX205 batteries for a Toshiba 4200/4400 series uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system at the Cincinnati VAMC Eye Clinic. The current batteries have exceeded their four-year end-of-life period and are no longer reliable in maintaining the power load for a critical Philips FD20 interventional radiology system. The procurement will be conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b) with a period of performance from January 15, 2025, through March 3, 2025. The notice is classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a standard size of $34 million.
While this is not a competitive solicitation, interested vendors may submit capability statements by January 10, 2025, at 1:30 PM ET to Margaret.Swetel@va.gov. Responses must include comprehensive company information, including the company name, SAM UEI number, address, point of contact details, business size, and an OEM Authorization Letter. The VA will evaluate submitted responses, but retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement. Vendors must clearly indicate if they are the direct supplier or an authorized servicing partner for the required items. Supporting evidence must demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements, including relevant corporate experience, contract details, total contract value, performance period, service specifics, and customer contact information. The VA emphasizes that any information provided will not be returned, and no submissions will be accepted after the specified deadline.
