About this file
This is a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source a contract with Biosense Webster for medical equipment maintenance and software support services.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), intends to negotiate a sole source contract for Accelerated Solutions Agreement (ASA) maintenance services covering Carto3, TruPulse, and nGEN equipment and software at Hines VA Base 2 Cath Lab. The contract will be structured as a firm fixed price agreement with a one-year base period plus two optional one-year renewal periods. The acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with the NAICS code 811210 and a business size standard of $34.0 Million. The response deadline is November 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central Time. Any firm believing it can meet the requirements must submit written notification to Contracting Officer Matthew Hohl at Matthew.Hohl@va.gov, including supporting evidence of authorization to perform maintenance services per VAAR Clause 852.212-71(c), specifically a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer stating the vendor is an authorized service provider. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. The Government reserves the sole discretion to determine whether to compete this procurement based on responses received.
