About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 5, is conducting a sole-source procurement for preventive maintenance and repair of General Electric medical imaging equipment at the Washington DC VA Medical Center with a response deadline of September 28, 2026. Only GE Precision Healthcare LLC is eligible to respond, as the VA justifies the sole-source award on the grounds that only an OEM-authorized contractor with OEM-certified parts, software, and trained technicians can provide the required services without compromising patient safety, equipment operation, warranty coverage, or access to OEM technical support.
The contract covers a one-year period from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform routine preventive maintenance per OEM specifications, on-site corrective repair with one-hour response to inquiries and four-hour maximum on-site response, software and hardware updates using only OEM-certified parts and technicians, immediate remediation for recalls and alerts, reporting and documentation, remote technical support, and full compliance with VA information security and PHI/PII safeguarding requirements.
Interested parties may submit evidence of capability to Contracting Officer Trever Turcotte (Trever.Turcotte@va.gov) by the response deadline. A Justification for Exception to Fair Opportunity is on file. Solicitation number is 36C24526Q0852.
