About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 has published a Special Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for service and maintenance of FastPak pill packing equipment. The VA's Network Contracting Office 2 intends to award this contract to TCGRx of Powers Lake, Wisconsin, for a base period from December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2026, with four additional option years available. The contract will cover maintenance services for FastPak pill packers at multiple VA Medical Centers across New York and New Jersey, including facilities in Albany, Batavia, Bath, Bronx, Buffalo, Canandaigua, NY Harbor, Northport, Syracuse, East Orange, and Lyons. The work scope includes providing all necessary labor, consumable and non-consumable parts, software upgrades, and annual software licenses to ensure proper equipment operation according to manufacturer specifications.
The purpose of this sole source procurement is to maintain proprietary FastPak pill packing equipment that can only be serviced by the original equipment manufacturer's certified technicians. While this is not a competitive solicitation, the VA will accept written responses from firms that believe they can meet the requirements, with all submissions due by August 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time via email to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to perform the requirements with sufficient supporting evidence, and all work must be performed by OEM-certified technicians authorized by TCGRx. The VA has determined that TCGRx is the only known provider capable of delivering these services due to the proprietary nature of the equipment. If no qualifying responses are received by the deadline, the government will proceed with the sole source award to TCGRx.
