The contracting office seeks to negotiate a contract for preventive maintenance and emergency repair services of Teleflex intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs) at the Hines VA Hospital. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Limited Source Justification Approval, indicating that the government has determined Teleflex is the only vendor capable of satisfying the agency's requirements. The product service code is J065 (Medical Equipment Maintenance and Repair), and the NAICS classification is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery Repair and Maintenance).
Any firm believing it can meet the stated requirements must submit written notification by February 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM Central Time via email to Contract Specialist Makena James at Makena.James@va.gov; telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Interested vendors must provide three mandatory supporting documents: a letter from the original equipment manufacturer verifying authorized distributor status, proof of ability to purchase OEM parts as needed, and certification that all technical personnel hold OEM certification. The procurement requires new OEM items exclusively, with no used, refurbished, remanufactured, gray market, or counterfeit items permitted. The government reserves the right to decide whether to compete the procurement based on responses received by the deadline. Potential contractors should direct inquiries to the contracting office located at 115 South 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214-1476, or contact Contract Specialist Makena James at 414-844-4871.
