About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Networking Contracting Office published a Special Notice concerning a sole source contract opportunity. The Notice intends to award American Energy Management Corporation a contract to purchase, install, calibrate, and commission a new building automation system front-end at the VA Boston Healthcare System campus in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

The Special Notice provides details for a sole source procurement to replace the existing front-end graphical software across all campus buildings with a new system using HTML-5. Interested parties must identify their capability to satisfy the requirement in writing by June 28, 2021. However, the Notice specifies the procurement will be sole source based on American Energy Management Corporation's proprietary system and software. The contract would include adding 200 direct digital points, training, and require work to be completed within one year of award. No other contractors are eligible to participate due to the proprietary nature of the incumbent's automation control system and software.
