About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC for preventative maintenance of Deionized (DI) Water Equipment Systems at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. The contract will encompass a base period of one year with four additional one-year option periods. Evoqua Water Technologies currently owns the Regenerable Ion Exchange Tanks used in the medical center's critical water systems serving the Sterile Processing Services and Dialysis Unit. These systems are essential for meeting Association of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) requirements. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 221310 with a size standard of $41.0M.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide an opportunity for potentially qualified vendors to submit capability statements, though the VA intends to proceed with the sole source award to Evoqua Water Technologies. Interested contractors must submit responses via email to arlene.albrite@va.gov by January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, with specific required information including company name, SAM UEI number, address, point of contact details, business size, and socioeconomic status. While this is not a competitive solicitation, the VA will evaluate any submitted responses, retaining sole discretion to determine whether to compete the procurement. Vendors must demonstrate their ability to perform the requirements by providing detailed corporate experience, including relevant contract numbers, total contract value, performance periods, service details, and customer contact information. The government emphasizes that any information provided will not be returned, and submissions received after the specified deadline will not be accepted.
