About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 5 is seeking a contractor to remove and replace General Exhaust Fan #2 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The project involves removing an existing exhaust fan and installing a new exhaust system capable of providing 21,160 CFM at 2" static pressure, including complete system integration with control and power wiring. All work must comply with VA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards, with deliverables including a fully operational exhaust system, as-built drawings, test and balance reports, and warranty documentation. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with all questions due by October 17, 2025. Quotes are due by October 24, 2025 at 8:00 AM EST.
This acquisition is structured as a firm-fixed-price contract under NAICS code 238220 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and includes a small business set-aside designation. The period of performance is 30 days from the Notice to Proceed, with all work to be completed between November 1, 2025 and October 31, 2026. The contract opportunity notice contains some discrepancies, as the title references ceiling lift inspections at multiple VA facilities including Perry Point, Baltimore, and Loch Raven, mentioning 443 total ceiling lifts across these locations, while the attached government file clearly describes an exhaust fan replacement project. The work will be performed at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia during the contractor's normal business operations.
