About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 1, is conducting market research for preventative maintenance and safety device testing services for high-pressure steam boilers at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System's West Haven and Newington Medical Campuses. The VA is seeking information from potential vendors who can provide the required routine inspections, testing, repairs, and replacements for the aging boiler systems. Responses should include a completed capability statement addressing the requirements outlined in the attached Statement of Work. This is a Sources Sought notice only, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Responses are due by July 3, 2024.
The VA is interested in understanding the capabilities of small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs), veteran-owned small businesses (VOSBs), and other socioeconomic businesses to potentially set aside the requirement. The contract will have a base period of one year with four one-year option periods. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a size standard of $19 million. The VA will use the responses to this Sources Sought to facilitate the Contracting Officer's review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy.
