The notice, posted on February 7, 2025, with a response deadline of February 22, 2025, outlines the government's plan to procure IDS services for a secured area entry way. The procurement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13, with the contract classified under NAICS code 541850. The intended purchase order will be firm-fixed-price and specifically targets the installation of an intrusion detection system at a secure facility location.
Contractors interested in challenging the sole source designation must provide clear and compelling evidence demonstrating that competition would be advantageous to the government. The notice explicitly states that this is not a formal solicitation or Request for Quotation, and no purchase orders will be awarded based on responses received. Potential alternative sources must submit their information directly to SMSgt Christopher Broschart via electronic email at christopher.broschart@us.af.mil before the February 22, 2025 deadline. If no affirmative written responses are received, the government will proceed with awarding the purchase order to Advantor Systems Corporation without further notice. The government maintains full discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed order, and interested parties are advised that telephone inquiries will not be honored.
