About this opportunity
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Knox, operating under the Department of the Army Materiel Command, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to sole-source a contract for VEX Robotics National Championship Competition Team Registration Fees for U.S. Army JROTC programs. This is not a competitive solicitation, and no Request for Proposals will be issued. The agency is explicitly seeking to award the contract to a single source and will proceed with the award without further notice if no qualifying responses are received by the deadline. Interested parties may challenge this sole-source determination by providing clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and that they can provide the required team registrations. All communications must be submitted in writing to the designated contracting officer.
The objective of this procurement is to secure 100 team registration fees for the VEX Robotics National Championship, scheduled for January 25-26, 2026, in Sandusky, Ohio. The response deadline is January 8, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time, with submissions directed to Cara Johnson at cara.j.johnson.civ@army.mil. Interested contractors must submit their company name and address, a statement of interest demonstrating capability to meet all requirements, a synopsis of their capabilities, a CAGE code or DUNS number, and a point of contact with phone number. While no specific eligibility restrictions are stated, contractors must demonstrate the ability to provide competition team registrations for the specified national championship event. Only written responses will be accepted; oral communications are not permitted.
