The notice was posted on August 27, 2025, with a due date of August 28, 2025. The Army intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) for exhibition space during the three-day event scheduled for October 13-15, 2025, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 561920 for Convention and Trade Show Organizers and PSC Code X1AB for Lease/Rental of Conference Space and Facilities. This is explicitly not a solicitation for proposals, abstracts, or quotations but rather an informational notice of the government's contracting intent.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the contractor community of the Army's intention to proceed with a sole source award based on the determination that only one source is reasonably available for this requirement. The sole source justification is made in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 and FAR subpart 13.106-1(b), which allows for soliciting from one source when circumstances indicate only one source is reasonably available. This is not a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements from other potential contractors. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice, meaning interested parties cannot compete for this opportunity. The notice serves purely as a transparency measure to comply with FAR 5.101 requirements for disseminating information about government contracting actions. Contractors should understand that this procurement opportunity is not open to competition and no further action is required or permitted from the contractor community.
