About this opportunity

The 4th Contracting Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to ADB SAFEGATE Americas LLC for a critical upgrade to the existing GSB-2501 Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS), with a closing date of June 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST. The Air Force justifies the sole-source award under R-DFARS 206.103-170, finding that only the original equipment manufacturer possesses the proprietary data, software, and expertise required to perform the upgrade without creating unacceptable risk to airfield safety and operations.

The scope includes a comprehensive, turnkey solution comprising proprietary network hardware upgrades based on the Cisco IE3300 ruggedized switch platform for the Air Traffic Control Tower, Airfield Electrical Vault, and Maintenance Center, along with critical spare parts. Services include project design submittals, Factory Acceptance Testing, and on-site system commissioning. The Government has completed market research and retains sole discretion regarding whether to conduct a competitive requirement. Inquiries should be directed by email to Brooke Shenk at brooke.shenk@us.af.mil; telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
