About this opportunity
The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 2 is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for the potential renewal or replacement of office space lease in Jacksonville, Florida. The government currently occupies 94,574 ABOASF (Annum Bona Fide Occupancy Area Square Feet) of office and related space under an expiring lease and is evaluating whether alternative space arrangements might prove more economically advantageous. The procurement falls under NAICS code 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and PSC code X1AA for Lease/Rental of Office Buildings. The government will evaluate alternatives based on the availability of space that can meet their operational requirements as well as costs associated with potential relocation, including physical move expenses. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on August 22, 2025, with a due date of August 29, 2025.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to full and open competition. The notice does not identify the current incumbent contractor or lessor, nor does it specify the existing lease's expiration date beyond noting that it will be expiring. No specific budget ranges or award values are mentioned in this preliminary notice, as the government is still in the market research phase to determine the most cost-effective approach. The substantial space requirement of nearly 95,000 square feet indicates this is a significant federal facility lease that will likely represent a multi-million dollar annual commitment. The tight seven-day response window suggests this is primarily an information-gathering exercise to assess market interest and capabilities before proceeding with formal solicitation procedures.
